Mandatory Online Payment before Booking Appointment for Apply Passport

Online payment has been made mandatory for booking appointments at passport seva kendras.

we can use the any one of the following for online payments...

1. credit/ debit card ( Master card & Visa )

2. Internet Banking ( State Bank of India SBI and associate Banks only )

3. SBI Bank challan

To pay using credit/debit card or Internet Banking

Step:1 -  Click the schedule appointment link, select the appointment quota normal or Tatkal quota and select the desired passport seva kendra and click the next button.

Step 2 : Click the pay and book appointment button to redirect to state bank of India Multi option payment system MOPS.

Step 3 : Select the mode of payments follow the instructions and make payments please do not click the back button or refresh button as this may lead to failure of transaction.

Step 4 : Once payment is successful an appointment will be booked automatically for the selected passport seva kendra and the appointment confirmation screen of PSP portal will be displayed.

Step 5: Take a printout of the application with ARN no and carry it along while visiting the passport seva kendra on the given appointment date and time.

TO PAY USING A CHALLAN

Step 1 : Generate and print SBI Bank challan through the pay using challan link.

Step 2 : Submit the challan along with indicated application fee at the nearest SBI branch after at least three hours of challan generation

Step 3 : Payment wiil be reflected after at least two working days of depositing the fee in the SBI branch. Click the "Track Payment Status " link to track payment status.

Step 4 : If payment status is displayed as success click the schedule appointment link to schedule an appointment.

Step 5 : Select the appointment quota (normal or tatkal ) and select the passport seva kendra and click the book appointment button.

Step 6 : Take printout of the Application with ARN receipt and carry along while visiting the Passport seva kendra on the given appointment date and time.

ONLINE PAYMENT WILL REMAIN VALID FOR ONE YEAR FROM THE FIRST APPOINTMENT DATE. THE PAID FEE WILL BE FORFEWITED IF APPLICANTS DO NOT SUBMIT APPLICATION AT PASSPORT SEVA KENDRA WITH IN THIS PERIOD. 

Procedure to APPLY PASSPORT for " Walk-in Applicants "

In passport Seva Project the procedures are periodically reviewed and new measures have been introduced in order to improve governance in passport offices. These new measures and procedures are developed only for citizens comfort and improvement in delivery of passport services.

The following mentioned categories of applications will alone be allowed as " Walk-in Applicants" Applicants falling under these categories need to register online, fill in the online application form and generate ( ARN ) Application Reference number at least one day in advance before visiting the PSK. Such applicants may visits the PSK with required set of documents and a copy of printed ARN sheet between 9:30 AM and  11:00 AM.

1. All Tatkal applications for issue of new fresh passport

2. Applications in respect of senior citizens and physically challenged applicants.

3. Applicants for issue of police clearance certificate

4. Applicants in respect of inflants below three years of age whose parents hold valid passports.

All the applicants are advised to bring the original documents while visiting Passport seva kendra and incomplete applications without original documents will not be accepted.

SNO	SIMPLYFIED PASSPORT APPLICATION FORMS PROCESS WITH SELF ATTESTED OF DOCUMENTS
1.	It has been decided to discontinue the requirement of attested photocopies of original documents in all the cases including the above. The applicants, therefore, may submit self attested documents of alL the original documents at the time of submission of their passport applications. Under the self certification method, original documents are required to be produced at the time of verification / Final processing.
2.	The Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances has directed all Ministers / Departments to revise, the existing requirement of affidavits and attested copies by gazette Officers, while seeking any public service by citizens.
3.	lt may be mentioned that the Passport Offices adopted the provision of self certification of documents e.g.; birth certificate, educational documents, address proof from the applicants instead of asking of documents attested by gazette Officers way back in 2000. However, there are certain cases in respect of which attested copies of documents are stil1 sought, as per the prescribed provision. These are as under:
	A. For issue of ordinary passport to Govt. Servant upon retirement / resignation attested copies of Pension payment Order  notification of retirement or communication. Accepting resignation of the Govt. Official is sought.
	B. For minors, attested copies of parents passports are sought
	C. For proof of marriage, where Marriage Certificates are submitted, attested copies of the sane are sought

Passport Seva SMS ( Short Message Service ) Alerts and Updates for Passport Application

After apply passport if you want to get regular updates on your mobile phone for your Passport application the following method is optional value added service for passport applicants provided by passport seva.  This is effect from the month of November 2013 and also premium SMS service is enabled for PSKs.

The SMS Service you can get from any mobile phones not necessarily from smart phones. After you finish the registration you will receive the status of your passport applications and pending actions through the SMS service and receive alerts and updates of your passport application.

If you want to know the current status of your passport application you can send an SMS query at any time to PSK and also you may receive upto 9 SMS based on your passport application status.

kindly note that registration of passport SMS service is purely optional and registration charge is not a part of Passport Fee.

If you choose not intrested on the SMS service you will get the normal communication SMS like dispatch of passport..

If you want to register for SMS service by paying a one time registration fee of Rs.30/- inclusive of all taxes payable in cash at your passport seva kendra before applying kindly read the terms and conditions carefully for the this service.

After submission of passport application form online or upload e-form we can register through the link " Enrol of SMS Service " under the service section after the login details....

When we finish the registration of Passport SMS Service the registered mobile number will get the following details..

1. For exceptions or errors in processing at any stages , penalty and show cause notice , for submitting of documents

2. updates like police verification and passport dispatch.
